President Cyril Rampahosa says government has earmarked R100 million over the next three years to develop infrastructure. The president  addressed the two houses of parliament on governments economic recovery plan on Thursday, after the economy was hard hit by stringent Covid-19 restrictions. Part of government’s economic recovery plan is to extend the Covid-19 grant by another three months.

At the same time…. The President says the country needs to intensify its measures to reduce Covid-19 cases to less than 1000 a day, adding that this way of living will be a part of our lives for some time to come. Ramaphosa reiterated that despite the lower rate of coronavirus infections in the country, it was too soon to declare victory in the fight against COVID-19
