SA to review relaxed lockdown after two weeks- Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa says that government is set to review relaxed lockdown regulations on gatherings after two weeks. The President has once again tightened regulations specifically around liquor sales for the Easter holidays. From this coming Friday until next Monday, off-site alcohol sales will be banned. But faith-based organisations are relieved that mass gatherings for Easter haven’t been prohibited. Religious gatherings will, however, be restricted to 250 people indoors and 500 outdoors.

Meanwhile…. The Health Department has reported 756 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa. A total of 78 more people have died, taking the death toll to more than 52 thousand. The recovery rate currently stands at 95%.
